Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE – LSU tied a school record for three-pointers but was unable to keep Vanderbilt from also making three-pointers and the Commodores used big runs in both halves to score a 96-89 Southeastern Conference opening win over the Tigers Thursday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Jones needs to go. It was cute watching him keep teams like Texas Southern in games late... but now comes the meet of the schedule and we see what we already knew. Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya, Johnny.

This is terrible. No emphasis on the basketball program at all. At least Coach Caldwell has the girls team playing more competitive. Jones team is getting worse! I don't think he's ready for prime time. Let's please hire a big name coach to make basketball relevant again at LSU. I really miss the days of "The Deaf Dome."
