LSU freshman guard Mazi Mosley is the latest player to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal following the coaching shakeup in Baton Rouge.

Mosely is the 4th player departing the program, along with DJ Thomas, Jalen Reed, and Ron Zipper.

The former four-star recruit from Los Angeles, Calif. (Prolific Prep), appeared in 19 games this past season, averaging 6.4 minutes, 1.8 points, and 0.6 rebounds per game.

A complete overhaul of the roster is needed for sure. I wish Max McKinnon had more years. Will Wade's previous time here at LSU he never had a player like Max, When the roster is set for the coming year, I am praying Will Wade will have on his final roster a couple of players like Max M. Another problem he had was shot selection as players were wild with their shot selection....

I'll be surprised if WW loses anybody he really wants to keep. I think everybody here would agree that the roster needs a serious upgrade. PS - Same thing happened when Lane became our football coach, and he loaded up in the portal. I'm sure Wade will do well in the portal, too.

I’m sure they are good young men but I doubt any of them could play for any other SEC teams. I’m good with a totally new roster

Wanted to play for a loser but doesn’t want to play for a proven winner? Yep sounds like a smart kid to me.

@chadr07 While I agree with you on the surface it looks like playing under WW is the better deal, but fear of the unknown has long been a form of worry & consternation amongst men & women.

So you face the fear of the unknown by going out and putting yourself in the unknown. If you enter the portal, will you be at a school that’s better than where you are at? Are you going to mesh with that team/coach?

What this is, is kids are hoping to leave for more money/playing time bc they are likely being told by their agents and those close that they are THAT good and will get paid not knowing if getting paid will actually happen. Currently they are at a great school with great athletic resources and have a coach returning that took the men’s program to the Tourney. To walk away without giving him or his program a chance without a guarantee of playing somewhere that will be better imo a bigger fear than staying
