Former SEC Head Coach To Join Will Wade's New Staff At LSU

Former Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury is joining Will Wade's new staff at LSU, according to reports over the weekend.
Stansbury, the 66-year-old coach from Battletown, Kentucky, led the Bulldogs for 14 seasons from 1998 to 2012 with six trips to the NCAA Tournament and five NIT appearances. His overall record with Mississippi State was 293-166 (.638) and 122-102 (.545) in the SEC.
Stansbury was also the head coach at Western Kentucky from 2016 to 2023 and spent the last three seasons as an assistant at Memphis.
