LSU head coach Will Wade landed a commitment from Kansas State guard Abdi Bashir Jr. on Friday, according to multiple reports.

The 6-7 junior began his college career at Monmouth, where he was one of the top scorers in college basketball in 2024, averaging over 20 points per game.

He transferred to Kansas State and played in 18 games this past season before suffering a season-ending foot injury. He averaged 13.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in those 18 games.

At the time of his injury in January, Bashir Jr. was the Wildcats second-leading scorer and one of the nation's top 3-point shooters, shooting 44.4%. He is expected to be at full strength to start next season.
