LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson added another highly ranked prospect to his recruiting class on Monday, landing a commitment from 2027 catcher Caden Borcherding.

Borcherding is rated as the No. 3 catcher in the country and the No. 2 overall player in Georgia for the 2027 class.

The talented backstop was previously committed to Clemson and has earned All-American honors from multiple outlets.

His commitment gives Johnson and the Tigers another top prospect as they continue building their future roster.
