Wouldn’t surprise me based on his most recent article’s title:
“Facing potential expulsion, LSU blinked first in standoff with SEC”
Makes me very hesitant to see what this book is all about

Dubious timing, but I heard through all the chatter this week that John Talty’s book on Lane was set to release Sept 15.
I’m not familiar with Talty, but I came across one of his articles on CBS about this whole SEC/LSU mess with an obvious SEC slant, and then saw he lives in Birmingham.
Anybody plan on giving this a read? Or like me, are we assuming it will be heavily anti-Lane?

I have no doubt he’s fully aware of this stigma, and I think his hope is that by creating the fun environment mentioned above maybe he can keep butts in seats.
His post game comments also point to this. He acknowledged fans could have gone home, but was overly appreciative they didn’t.
Tiger Stadium is one of the biggest x-factors LSU has, regardless of personnel. If he achieves anything at LSU, returning fan engagement to former glory would be among his greatest triumphs

Maybe they’ll do their human interest story on a small group of student athletes that were arbitrarily robbed of their final season of eligibility, and the fallout when it was later revealed they actually do have eligibility, but the ncaa and some major conferences didn’t know their own rules and still ruled them ineligible. Very sad.
