Talented freshman third baseman/designated hitter Jacob Berry announced Sunday morning that he will be following Jay Johnson from Arizona and transferring to LSU.
Berry, an All-American from Queen Creek, Ariz. entered the transfer portal last week after Johnson was introduced as LSU's new coach. He hit .352 with a team-high 17 home runs and 70 RBI this past season. Berry started in 62 games and hit 19 doubles, five triples, 87 hits, and had 33 walks.
