On Friday, the University of Kentucky announced that it will start a pilot program and begin sales of alcoholic beverages at upcoming baseball and softball games. Kentucky president Eli Capilouto issued a statement on this decision...
quote:

“Mitch and his team moved thoughtfully through a process that led to this pilot program,” Capilouto said. “The decision to initiate a pilot program is one that the institution grappled with, and the methodical approach taken by the athletics department will lead to the best experience for our student-athletes and sports fans alike. It is through that lens that we will make decisions about future seasons.”

It's funny they do this for these sports, but for football you have to rent a suite.

I think the idea is that this is a trial run for football in the fall.

“Capilouto also said,’In the stands and common areas, we will only be selling Bud Select 55 in 10 ounce cans. Each can will sell for $14. No sales after the 4th inning. Those in luxury boxes will have a barrel of a BTAC of their choice delivered at the beginning of each season. This seems an equitable way to initiate alcohol sales. ’”
