On Monday, Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports that Arch Manning is slated to visit Clemson, SMU, Texas, Alabama, and Georgia this June. His father, Cooper Manning, talked about how his son is enjoying the process so far, but how it’s important to maintain some sort of normal schedule throughout the summer...
quote:

“You still want to workout with your teammates and not be gone every day, you want to have some semblance of normalcy,” Cooper Manning said. “Arch has been talking to Stanford, he’s especially interested in doing a Stanford, USC swing and also a Notre Dame, Ohio State swing. It might be hard to get it all done in June but he’s been enjoying talking to those guys as well.”

“On the heels of that I think there will be a time he wants to see Virginia (where his older sister will attend school) and North Carolina too. He’s been to LSU and he’s been to Ole Miss. We’ll figure out, hopefully whether it be in July, go see some schools, maybe it’s in the dead period but at least you can go see some things out there. Then August boom you’re in summer practice and it gets harder. He’s been enjoying getting to know these schools from other parts of the country. You kind of knock out what’s close to you and he’s enjoyed having conversations with Notre Dame, Ohio State, Stanford and USC. They just kind of came on the scene in the last month or so, the last few months.”

LSU fans should just put the name Manning out of their minds because unlike the salt and pepper, it’s not on the table.

0.0% chance a Manning ever goes to LSU unless it’s to play against LSU while Archie is still alive.

My favorite beatdowns of ole piss, 1970 61-17 archie took that beating. 3 punt returns by the Tigers in BR. 2003 17-14 eli trips on 4th down, game over and ole piss dreams of a west title down the drain. LSU wins West, SEC and National Championships. I'll take Howard any day over a manning.

He wont go to LSU, and if he doesn't, he should go to Ole Piss and have a college career very similar to his trip happy uncle... meaningless and forgetful

I’m not a big fan of the Manning boys, but if an Ole Miss career is followed by two super bowl victories, I bet he gladly take it.

You mean schools that provide good education? I think Stanford and Notre Dame qualify.

If he goes to SMU, the SEC should immediately offer SMU a membership in the SEC. I think SMU is a sleeping giant that has the money and the alums to get done what needs to be done to get the right coaches and recruits, plus it would be a big boost for the SEC to have a team in DFW.

The SEC already has a team that dominates TV and alumni money in DFW. It's called Texas A&M.
