CSB- If we win tonight, and next Friday night, we will more than likely host the team that threw this contest for the state championship.

Why not just forfeit?

$7500.00 fine for forfeits, which they ended up paying anyway.

Should the other team be penalized for winning?

He didn't lose on purpose, he was losing 53-6 at half when his team quit playing.

Go read what happened. They took a delay of game each play on offense. The only reason they scored 6 was because of a missed tackle.

At that point one would think they at least try to get some good practice while its hard to catch up. In instead of just blatantly throwing the game in the 2nd. Imo it's good they are getting punished for it

Why is it illegal? In any competitive thing aren't you looking for gain?

MS private schools started a two tier playoff system where certain teams make the Tier 1 playoff bracket and other teams make the Tier 2 playoff bracket with the end result being 2 state champions in the same classification. Marshall purposely lost to get placed in the Tier 2 playoff bracket because they thought it was an easier path to a title.

I'm going to be perfectly honest. I was thinking earlier today that I hope Bama doesn't play in the SECCG. I guess it's kind of the same thing.
