There was a crazy high school playoff finish in Minnesota after one team hit a buzzer beater to win the game, followed by students storming the court. After further review it was waved off by refs, followed by the other school storming the court. Per BringMeTheNews.com...
quote:

Albany (24-6), the No. 2 seed in Section 6AA, inbounded the ball and appeared to win the game on a buzzer beater by Andrew Hahn, and as soon as the ball went through the hoop the student section rushed the court thinking they were headed to next week's state tournament.

For 35 seconds Albany fans were celebrating while Melrose players, coaches and fans were anxiously awaiting a ruling from the officials, who huddled in the corner to discuss if the basket was good or if the ball was still in the player's hand when the clock hit zero.

They ruled it no good and Melrose fans stormed the court, and all of it was caught on video.

And these two teams are only 13 miles apart and are fierce rivals.

I was at the game. Things got a bit heated, but no chance of a brawl. The game was crazy as you could see the refs huddling up after the game. I thought the shot wasn’t good, but there was no immediate signal by the refs. Not long after that loss, the Albany girls lost a close one in the state tournament.

Can you believe this happened and it didn't turn into a full out brawl when the shot was over turned?
