This is what pro golf does to a golfer's hands...
quote:

No. 13: No pain, no gain??
This #ETPhotoOfTheYear image was taken by @kristoffer_kotte_broberg of fellow Swede Alex Noren's hands after a particularly long practice session, the day before the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Noren is known as one of the hardest workers on Tour and has said before that he now often wears two gloves during practice to protect his hands from the effects of hitting hundreds of shots in a day.

Bless his heart. Making all that money to play golf is very tough indeed.

Could you support your family playing professional golf? Guessing not. They put in more hours in four days than you do all week. I understand the callous hands thing, but that professional golf life is tough except for the very few privileged elite.

I know pro gophers practice a lot but "no pain no gain" is a MAJOR stretch if your looking for sympathy.

Professional guitarists on long tours often have bloody blisters on the tips of their fingers--can't work with gloves on, so they use super glue and keep applying as the strings wear it off over the evening.

That's it? Try gripping a powerlifting barbell and do high reps of deadlifts. I've seen better in the quad.

Some particularly masochistic guys do it without chalk, even.
