He got married and lost that last little 2% of drive/killer instinct that it takes to win at that level. He probably only spends 4 hours a day on the range vs. 5 like he used to.

an extra hour grinding on the range means little to an elite golfer that been on tour for a decade. He already is out there for 6 hours per day. It's diminishing returns. Now sure, if he's spraying the ball everywhere, then he needs to get with his swing coach to fix it. But if he's playing well, pounding hundreds of extra balls every day won't do much, and it'll probably exhaust you more. Hell, I think it's more important to give his body a rest.

Golf is better when this guy is competing at the top of the leaderboard. When he came on the scene in 2013 he was one, if not the only one, wearing UA apparel. They took a chance on him and look what it has turned into. Hope he gets his game where he wants it and we see him competing for wins on Sundays.

Better than how Wyndham handled things.

I love Jordan Speith. Not a robot - shows emotion on the course and seems like a regular guy.

His early wins made him appear to be a machine, unbothered by anything but sinking puts.

I now follow him by watching leaderboard stats. He was doing 'ok' this past weekend. Sort of ballancing birdies and bogies, until a disaster hole got him and he shot 7 on a par 4 hole. Unrecoverable.

Man when he came on the scene 10 years ago with that win Amy the Masters, I was certain dude would be at the Top of the heap for a long time with his demeanor.
As we have learned from anyone who cares to be the best at their sport or job, you have to be on your A game on and off the field to get there though.

No wonder he sucks now

He sucks now because he became technical rather than reactive through his natural feel. Has zero to do with putting a few back now and then

Think it was more that he won life in his early 20s and had damn near generational wealth through endorsements very young. Vast majority of people lose a bit of hunger/edge when that happens. I know I would.
