LPGA star Charley Hull got a little impatient with her three-some this week during the opening round of the US Women's Open...

Per Daily Mail...
quote:

Golf star Charley Hull appeared to lose patience with Lexi Thompson during an awkward opening round of the US Women's Open.

On Thursday, Hull and Thompson were paired alongside world No 1 Nelly Korda at Erin Hills in Wisconsin, where the winner will take home $2.4million.

But none is inside the top 30 after a tense opening round when Hull seemed to grow frustrated at Thompson's pace of play. …

And Hull appeared to take issue with the American as early as the opening hole on Thursday.

A clip, which was posted to social media, showed Hull waiting as Thompson stood over a putt. As the American went through her meticulous pre-shot routine, Hull could be seen letting out a huge sigh. …

Golf is vapid

I’ve never understood why so many people are in such a damn hurry to get through the round. Personally, I”m enjoying being outside and playing my game. Am I keeping someone from getting to an important board meeting or something? A golf outing isn’t meant to be rushed.

Some people, me included, just play fast. No reason to stand around staring at the trees with your mouth hanging open.

Cool. You can play through. Allows me more time to stare at trees with my mouth open while you rush your way through to wherever it is that you’d really rather be.

nobody is saying to "rush your way" through a golf round. But it's annoying to play with very slow players. No need to overanalyze everything. Get your data, make your decision, and get on with it.

If you’ve ever watched a professional golf tournament, they are anything but rushed. If all players were like the slow players, rounds would be 6+ hours.

I’m cool with that. What else am I going to do…rush through so I can get back home and tackle the wife’s honey do list?

Because golf is BORING AF

Very unprofessional and childish. If you have a problem with a player, address it in private or talk to the tournament officials. Sitting on your arse in protest is what two-year-olds do! I was more shocked that she was allowed to wear a warm-up suit during an official round.

Personally I think golf should have some sort of a shot clock, some of the players are pretty extreme with their slow play

Usually they get warned and then put on a clock if they continue to lag. This sounds like she’s just a fast player and got stuck with some slow ones. I can relate; I fly around the course. Playing slow can also really screw up someone who plays fast if you ever need an edge on the course

Why would anyone want to rush through a round? I bet you’re one of those who complains about football games lasting too long.
