In lieu of the NFL's national anthem protests, Louisiana's Parkway High School sent this letter to athletes and families, making clear their policy on such protests...

Trump didn't order anyone to do anything. He said what he thought they should do.

The real story is that our boys in South Bossier refuse to take a knee. Watch this link and you will then understand how we do things. LINK

Is this a public schopl that accepts Federal funding? If so, then this is a problem. The Constitution and SCOTUS have ruled on several similar issues in favor of the student i.e. forcing public schools to allow homeschool kids play sports, muslims who don't stand during Ramadan. If this is a private school or hasnt accepted Federal money then they are fine.

I've been so conditioned by the media, I almost got offended by this. Thank god my parents raised me right. You show respect for the country you don't insult it because you disagree with a current political climate.

I hope all the liberals set themselves on fire after seeing this letter. BUT more likely the ACLU or some left group will file a lawsuit with an injunction in the interim. USAF! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Too bad SCOTUS already determined this to be illegal (LINK They're going to get the shite sued out of them, and the public school system is going to have to foot the settlement money. lol. Way to better the community.

A school can do what they want with an established rule just like having grooming standards. You have the right to an education but not to extracurricular activities. If you fight at a game, the school can suspend you from school.

@Warfarer lol okay. follow up with me once they aren't absolutely taken our the shed in the court room. You're severely underestimating the legal system, here.

If the school wants players to stand that's their prerogative. They cant force them to stand, but they can certainly sit them for not following team rules. Playing HS football is a privilege, not a right.

Haha, blame doesn't lie solely on Trump. He didn't start it. He just said what many of us are thinking. Should he have said those remarks given his position? No. But there's a ton of people who feel that way. But he definitely didn't start it
