"Brutus Beefcake suffered a severe parasailing accident in the summer of 1990, resulting in a shattered face and a near-fatal injury. The accident occurred when a boat driver pulled a parasailer's knees into Beefcake's face with full force. The injuries were so extensive that over 16 hours of reconstructive surgery were needed. He also required a drug-induced coma to monitor his recovery"

Beefcake had his face completely reconstructed around 1990 when he got hit in the face by someone parasailing.

That’s not to say he hasn’t had a ton of drug issues anyway but having to have your face completely reconstructed will leave you messed up long term.
