It doesn't dissolve instantaneously. And it's still a solid object. Sugar. I can't imagine eating it that fast, and haven't had any since I was a kid, but I still remember taking a large piece,squeezing it in my hand and sticking a solid chewy mat of the stuff in my mouth. Good times, good times. Now I want some fried dough, dammit, and the State Fair isn't for another 6 months.
