Orgeron will likely be making a decision soon to part ways with current coach Mark Helfrich.
Candidates for the job could possibly be Penn State's James Franklin, North Carolina's Larry Fedora, Western Michigan’s P.J. Fleck, and Boise State’s Bryan Harsin.
Dan Wolken with USA TODAY Sports also mentioned Flordia's Jim McElwain as an option for the job.

There also are whispers that Florida’s Jim McElwain could be intrigued by the opportunity to return to the Pacific Northwest, close to where he went to college and started his coaching career at Eastern Washington.
