The UA Board of Trustees Compensation Committee approved a short extension and a raise Friday morning. He'll be paid $1.4 million for the eight months between July 1, 2016 through Feb. 28, 2017. That means his contract with Alabama will expire at the end of the current season.
This new deal makes Kiffin the highest paid Alabama assistant.

I kind of figured when his USC buyout expired, he may start looking for another job. If he stays at Alabama he will be making half what he made the last 3 years.
