Lane Kiffin's time at Alabama has officially come to an end.

Alabama announced Monday that Kiffin will not coach in the College Football Playoff title game. Steve Sarkisian will serve as Tide's offensive coordinator.

Now that Kiffen is out of the LSU OC discussion, Saban gave him the shaft. Nothing surprising about this. Saban just wanted to make sure he didn't go to LSU. Once that was accomplished, no reason to keep him on. That's why he hired Sarkisian. Because early reports indicated that Les Miles was interested in hiring as OC for LSU. Its cool tho. I am more than happy with Canada. See you soon Bama. There won't be any handicaps holding LSU back next time.

That photo looks like Sark's face on Kiffin's head

In a pregame interview prior to the Washington game, a reporter asked Saban how does he prepare for a playoff game. Nick said that the most important thing was to keep things the same. Interesting.

I was on the field after the Peach Bowl (subtle brag). We wereally waiting outside locker room while team was having their post game meeting. We decided to leave and head back to the field and saw Kiffin taking photos with some co-Ed's that were on the field. I thought it was weird that he wasn't with the team immediately after the game but taking pictures with girls. Funny thing also happened, after he took the photos with the girls, he was offered to take a picture with the Peach Bowl trophy. He declined and went into the locker room.

It's Sabans team but they aren't in the playoffs the past 3 years without Lane IMO. They certainly don't beat Clemson last year without Lane.

Maybe not, but that was one of the best-coached games of Saban's career. Stealing a posession in the 4th Quarter was brilliant; the way the clock was going and both teams exchanging TDs he was in a bad spot. The dude always finds a way to win, not having Lane Kiffin could have affected the outcome but I really think he would have pulled it off.

This is the biggest dick move that I have ever seen in coaching. How does anyone still want to coach for him?

I would think L6U firing their HC after four games is worse.

poor show on offense under kiffen vs washington, saban and kiffen really didnt get along, it was obvious kiffen could not do 2 jobs at same time meaning recruit for florida atlantic and focus on offense for alabama. kirby smart almost lost the natty for bama last season vs clemson. clemson was tearing their arse apart. with that being said am happy bout lsu and hope lsu gets a strong class of recruits. hope clemson whips that bama arse, would like to see lsu bring home an sec and natty championship in 2017 season.
