While sitting down on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast, the Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia
confirmed he received a $4 million NIL offer from another SEC team before taking some shots at the Big Ten...
quote:

"You want to play with the best — you don't want to play with the Big Ten. … You ignore those calls," Pavia told the Michigan and Nebraska grads. "You know that."

"But you've got to think about this, too," he continued. "The SEC is, like, nothing. Like, OK, the Big Ten, you have Ohio State, Oregon … the SEC, it's like week after week. You're going to get beat on. The Big Ten, you're not gonna get beat on with the Purdue, Nebraskas."

"The best pass rushers are from the SEC, except, like, Abdul Carter. You'll find one. You'll have one or two. … If the kid from South Carolina [Dylan Stewart] could've left, he would've been a first-round pick."

I'd like to say that Diego eviscerating anyone should be laughable, but as an Auburn fan, I should probably keep my mouth shut. :) Seriously, the kid's got heart so I'm actually kind of a fan. Just hope Brotha Hugh and Auburn can take care of bidness in Nashville this fall.

You do know that him eviscerating them was verbally, right? Sorry, dumb question. It’s clear from your post that you had no idea.

There's no way an SEC school offered him $4 million for 1 single year when that's about what 5th round NFL draft picks get over the course of 4 full years between base 4 years of base salary and signing bonus. This guy's full of BS. If Bryce Underwood got $3 mil per year as #1 overall recruit. Diego did not get remotely close to $ 4 mil.

You grossly underestimate the stupidity of some programs. Auburn would absolutely do something like that right now
