Notre Dames sweetheart playoff deal is disgusting.

Guaranteed spot in the playoffs if they finish in the top 12.
Considering that there are normally two lightweaights in the field, that means at least one top ten ranked team will be eliminated each year.
Their strength of schedule this year in 56th.
It is also likely that they can and will get in over a team or teams ranked over them by the playoff commitee itself.
Why the SEC AND BIG accepted this is beyond me.

I don't see how this arrangement is ever legal and entertained unless maybe CFB has become a complete farce

They should over James Madison and Tulane. Notre Dame and BYU both should have been in last year over those G5 schools.
