Going to the UK game. First time in Lexington. Any suggestions for tailgating or other pregame festivities? Will be driving in from and back to Louisville.

Would’ve been 100x cooler if the horses were running at Keeneland in the AM but they are done for the year.
There’s a huge outdoor tailgating area in front of the stadium, you can walk around drinking and talking Kentucky fans or go downtown and hangout at the bars until it’s time to walk over.
Fun to be had either way.

I mentioned this in another similar thread but if you have any interest in bourbon, take time to visit some of the classic ones…Jim Beam is in Clermont, Maker’s Mark is in Loretto, Four Roses has two locations, Woodford Reserve is beautiful, Heaven Hill has a cool bourbon history museum …can’t remember the other cities except Bardstown. Great little town with B&Bs, Airbnbs, old timey hotels. As others have said, you’ve missed the Keeneland fall races which is super cool if you ever get another chance up there in sping or fall.

Bourbon lol
But really.......we went to visit the trail late September and stayed a week and spent a day in Louisville and a few days in Lexington.
A good place we found to eat if you like BBQ was a place called City Barbecue, really good quality food.
If you have time, Makers Mark has a really nice facility and awesome tours and tastings. Wilderness Trail Distillery was also an awesome tour and tasting (heavy pours and a few extra pours when we visited)
In Louisville there were several distilleries on Whiskey Row right by Riverside. Old Forester and Rabbit Hole are both good ones. Good place to eat that was neat was on a little street off the Row walking over to the River called Troll Pub under the Bridge it was an affordable sports bar.
Hope you enjoy!!
