I gotta say, I respect the hell out of Coach O for making a stand. LSU is lucky to have a guy that will stand up for his players when things like this are happening in this country.
Mizzou coach did the same thing.
While Cohen has made statements on behalf of the MSU AD, and Leach has tweeted a MLK quote, I think the way O and Mizzou AD went about showing their support were more personal and meaningful.
Sometimes (especially with what's going on), I wish MSU didn't fire Croom. He may have not won as much as Mullen, but you never doubted that your team was anything but the "good guys" under Croom.
Mullen was kind of a shady character, I'll have to be honest. We'll see how Leach turns out, but I'm not completely sold on him yet as Mississippi State sure as hell ain't Washington State.

I really liked Coach Croom, but we had some guys kicked off the team during his time at State, especially in 2008.

Let me stop you right there. That’s the thing...Croom didn’t win!
Seriously? You wish State had not fired him?
You must be some fan troll from another school that wished we had kept him. There’s a reason all the coaches never had anything bad to say about him. They loved croom! His teams were so pitiful. They knew State was non competitive and basically an auto win.
Good guy and all but him being hired was essentially self imposed sanctions. He had no business being a head coach.
This is the SEC. Guys are paid insane amounts of money to win football games. He didn’t. Period.
