The Fired Coaches Bowl

Posted by Chill Pill on 11/13/25 at 5:00 pm
Is LSU v. Arkie the first game where both schools fired their coaches mid-season? Wonder what the interim coaches will say to each other pre-game. "I have a 0.0?% chance of getting this job." ... "Oh yeah? Well I have a 0.00?% chance of getting this job."

Cue the Jim Carey Dumb & Dumber "so you're saying there's a chance ..."

If we go 0-17 this year that will be a 21 game losing streak. Only 5 more to go to match the Bucs ... and another 8 to match the all time record of 29 L's in a row.

Make that 50-something to 7.

The Future

Posted by Chill Pill on 9/21/25 at 3:33 pm
We all know this is a bad football team. This game will likely wind up 30-something to 10. The season is basically over. I truly dont know if Moore is the answer. But he needs at least 2 seasons. We will have the top pick in the draft. The problem is we need draft picks ... a lot of them. Kamara might be the only tradeable asset. Maybe Olave for a 6th or a 7th. Maybe Shaheed for similar. Trade and acquire picks.
There's a solution to this called the Pistol. RB gets ball with room to see and assess. Unfortunately other than Keiland Williams in 2007 ag/ Va Tech, i don't recall the Pistol being especially effective.

Clemson

To those who think we will roll Clemson, Mel Kiper has 4 of them in the top 14 of the draft -- 2 on O, 2 on D. Down vote all you want. Just saying.

Do you sleep well?

Does it in any way bother you what havoc and dysfunctionality you ... you ... no one else ... have heaped upon this franchise?

Is there any semblance of accountability morphing through your veins?

Or are you laughing your arse off every time you cash your check?

Just wondering.

The Streak Continues ...

I don't know if Ole Miss makes the playoffs (hope not), but the last time Ole Piss won the SEC FB championship, ...

I posted this on another thread but if we can beat Bama, we close with Fla, Vandy and OU. Our problem is if we somehow manage to get to the end with 1 loss in the SEC, I see at least 2 other 1 loss teams ... the winner between Ga & Tenn and the winner between Tx and A&M. Under that scenario, conventional wisdom is if you're a 2-loss team, you want to avoid playing in the SECCG because you're already in the final 12 and a 3rd loss would kick you out. I'm not sure I see us in the final 12 under that scenario because we'd be the 5th to get in (behind Tx, Ga, Tn and A&M ... but perhaps only if A&M beats Tx) and I don't see the final 12 comprised of 5 from the SEC (if Tx beats A&M, we might get in as the 4th ... but voters will look at what A&M did to us). So I think we need to win the SECCG ... and in order for that to happen, the 3 with one loss at the end of the reg season needs to be Tx, Ga & us. Under that senario, we play Ga and would have to beat them.

About where I had them in the pre-season. Nuss has an elite arm but will make some dumb decisions. Despite the meltdown in the 2nd half against Aggy, defense has been better than I had feared. Running game has been worse. OL is elite in pass protection, vastly less so in the run game. Disappointed in lack of physicality ... but if we can beat Bama, we close with Fla, Vandy and OU. Our problem is if we somehow manage to get to the end with 1 loss in the SEC, I see at least 2 other 1 loss teams ... the winner between Ga & Tenn and the winner between Tx and A&M. ... or on your shield ... from BK presser today. The Sparta proverb is actually, "Come back with your shield or on it." I kind of like BK's take on it ...

As an LSU fan responding to an Ole Piss fan, this actually made me laugh. Well done, sir!
Now that every fan base has seen that absolutely pathetic and inexcusable series of events, you will have sections of drunk fans throwing beer bottles on fields everywhere thinking that might buy time such that borderline calls get reversed. That should of course never happen ... and likely won't... but the problem is the box is open and Pandora is out. Clear thinking doesn't prevail when emotions are charged and beer bottles are going to be cascading out of stands. THAT is what that officiating crew has unleashed.

Mindset of this team ...

The defense was elite .... no.longer ... recognize the year is lost with subpar effort, a rookie QB (who should not be blamed for this embarrassing effort), and vets who ... just ... don't ... want to tackle, don't want to do anything other than collect a paycheck.

Hope Adebo ok. He is one shining light on the D.
