and they will blame Trump in a couple years when everything turns to shite
absolutely agree - rule is too subjective in interpretation as well as in the order of occurrence

ARTICLE 1. A touchdown shall be scored when:
a A ball carrier advancing from the field of play has possession of a live ball
when it penetrates the plane of the opponent’s goal line
.
This plane extends
beyond the pylons only for a player who touches the ground in the end
zone or a pylon. (A.R. 2-23-1-I and A.R. 8-2-1-I-IX).

there is no doubt he had possession of the ball when he penetrated the plane of the goal line. it was only after he hit the ground after he crossed the goal line when possession was overruled
quote:

Anyone who ignores this bias is either intentionally blind or just not paying attention to how these always go.

agree 100%

instead of these subjective, open to interpretation rules like a "football move" or did the ball move 1 cm after he hit the ground while slowing the replay to 1/100th of a sec, just make it simple and well-defined. does the player have control of the ball when he crosses the goal line? everything afterwards should then be irrelevant.

speaking of "football moves", if a player reaches for and hits the pylon I would consider that a football move

the rule is too subjective.

a particular play during 1 of the OTs in the 7 OT Texas A & M game several years ago was ruled an incomplete pass after the A&M player made a "football move" in which LSU recovered what should have been a fumble to end the game
it's a ridiculous rule/interpretation

if a player has possession of the ball prior to and during the act of crossing the goal line (which no one disputes was the case), it should be a TD and everything afterwards regarding possession should be irrelevant. whether the ground causes the player to lose possession after the goal line, whether inbounds or out-of-bounds, should not be relevant.

an analogy would be field goals - once the ball goes over the crossbar, it's a field goal whether the ball hooks or slices out of the plane of the uprights beyond the crossbar
wow! vols' fans looking for some moral victory for their football program I see
poor vols. trying to have some win in football in decades
hopefully she and Latoya will be cell mates at Alligator Alcatraz

Thought so! Went there decades ago when I was stationed at Wright Pat and saw Deon play. If I remember correctly, the Kentucky side was much more scenic with hilly/mountainous terrain?
Enough blubber to fuel lanterns for months
Need larger police to take down that land whale
Is that the bridge on the Ohio side near the Reds’ stadium?
If you’re this pathetic on a message board, you must be a total loser
Yeah he’s naive and ignorant. Looking for the land of rainbows and diverse unicorns
Plenty of women and effeminate men treating these paper pushers as heroes. What a joke!
There’s another large country where English is the official language and a huge segment of the population is still unable to speak it appropriately. You leftists are really going to freak out when Trump compliments a black American on being well spoken. Of course you’ll forget that Biden complimented Obama on smelling good.
