How many head coaches have you had a beer with? Current or ex-coach?

Tried to have a drink at a bar in Texas, but it was ruined because Kevin Sumlin smacked some girls arse drunk out of his mind and got the shite beat out of him.

I won’t say any names but my grandmothers friend told a story about the time he drank with a famous coach.

Apparently the coach would come in to the bar, set his fedora on the counter, and order every man in the bar an appletini. And on dozens of occasions he was seen leaving the bar with a random man.

Not sure if it’s true. Just what I heard.

Never had a beer with them, but sat directly behind Vince and Charley Pell, watching a HS football game, back in the early 80's. They each brought a couple of enormous linemen with them.

Was at cookouts with Bobby Bowden a solid handful of times.

Hung out with Kenny Stabler one day in Gulf Shores.

Was eating at a table beside Boom and his family when he was at Texas.

Did have a few beers with Erk Russell once. Dude was not tall but had a vice grip for a handshake. My hand still tingles every time I think about it.

Pretty much any of them. I love to talk football, and having a beer with any past or present SEC coach would be pretty cool imo.

My family are good friends with the Dooleys.

We have them over for dinner a couple times a year.

Vince is an awesome guy to have a beer with. LOVES to talk about them Dawgs. His wife, Barb, is a super sweet lady as well. I've clinked a wine glass or two with her.
