This is my favorite myth UGA consistently had top 10 or 8 classes. We’ve had top 5 classes before. Going from 6 to 1 is not like going from 13 to 2 like OM, especially when even in Richt’s down years we rarely left the top 10. Bring in a team of elite recruiters like Kirby had at Bama and then keep talent in state = top class.
It was more about having something to discuss since we’re a few weeks off from games. I’d feel different if were less than a week away. I know it has ZERO bearing on this season overall but what else is there to talk about for 3 weeks?
I keep seeing from their fans since LSU embarrassed us and Texas beat us they should both be ahead of us. I can knda see an argument for LSU but it seems obvious to me we didn’t try against Texas or at least our hearts weren’t in it. Granted that’s part of the game and regardless Texas was the better team that day. Maybe I’m wrong and Texas is back. Thoughts?

5-0 but who have we played? #2 in the AP doesn't mean anything. Defending SEC champs doesn't mean jack this year. The officials didn't screw us out of a NC title, poor coaching did. If you take our D/ST scores you clearly see our offense is struggling to be what it should be. It's going to be a wake up call when we can't score more than 20 on LSU then lose. Especially after Fields is thrown in for no reason and fails to make a pass or is picked off after staring down a receiver.

Exactly, we're playing sloppy and not putting our foot on teams throats. It's obvious we aren't as good as last year but it's not our losses on defense that are hurting us. It's our offense not improving with a 2nd year QB and supposedly good O-line. Our WRs played bad yesterday but overall they're under utilized because of QB/O-line play.

This team has looked ok against crap teams like Tennessee and Mizzou. If we play this poorly we could lose any of the 4 game against @LSU/UF/@UK/AU. I see our defense being elite again by the EoS, I expected our offense to be elite but unless we can get some 100yd rushers and good deep balls we're not gonna beat those 4 and then we'll lose by 26 to Bama.

frick Florida, I hope they lose every game until the end of time. I don't care if it were to "help" us, frick Florida. The people rooting for AU or UF in the title games because muh SEC are imbeciles.

Were the block and miss against Mizzou his only misses of the season?
Fromm finishes out this year barring injury or collapse. If he is injured then Fields will be limited because Kirby can't afford to have him run and get hurt so it doesn't really help Fields. They compete in the offseason, however even if he's not the starter I don't see why Fields transfers next year if Fromm is going to the draft. If Fromm isn't going to be drafted then Fields leaves, obviously. Both would play regardless next year but if Fields transfers he's not playing at all for a year and then plays his junior year wherever. Which is exactly what would happen anyways if he stays this season, why not stay gets reps and possibly come in while guaranteeing your job in 2020?
We had the #1 class last year and are trending towards that this year. Our defensive line will be older, our offense will be even more loaded. Year after would presumably be Fields and this past #1 class coming into it's own. We do need to recruit good on the lines though and losing Tucker will hurt.
If he doesn't transfer before 4 games , then it makes no sense to do it after this year. If he transfers at EoS then he still sits out a year wherever he goes and Fromm is gone after next year. So why not wait next year in a position you're comfortable with?

Eason transferred because he'd have to win his job back for this year and he'd already been a somewhat proven starter.
I think so but then again OU and LSU both played bad so maybe most teams aren't as good as people think. I think Bama is just on a different level this year. Though I thought the same thing last year too but that was before a ton of injuries to your defense. I think people are overhyping everyone but Bama (I saw Tua first hand last January... ), UGA vs Mizzou, LSU vs UL, OU vs Army, OHST struggled with TCU for a while, Clemson should have lost to A&M (though I think A&M is faaar better than TCU/Mizzou/Army/UL).
It's really that simple. Lawrence >>>> Bryant, Fields >> Fromm in terms of pure physical talent. Fromm + experience makes up for that physical gap, Bryant + experience doesn't. Bryant wouldn't start at most schools in the SEC, Fromm would start everywhere besides Mizzou/Bama/Miss St.

Also for people who thinks Fields is transferring, you do realize he'd sit out all of next year regardless? If he stays he'll get playing time and take over for Fromm in 2020. Before you bring him up, Eason left because he was already the starter and he'd have to compete with Fromm and Fields and probably rarely see the field again.
Seems way too high, Kirby is friends with Pruitt. He won't let it get that out of hand like last year.
I'm kinda surprised there are odds for Fromm but Swift has not really done anything. He's been rather pedestrian, I'm hoping he gets back to last year's form. Myself and a lot of other UGA fans see him as having regressed. Holyfield is very good but not a heisman candidate this year.

Mecole Hardman is the only UGA player who would possibly get a spot in NY but WRs don't win heismans so he won't get it even if he were to score 3 TDs in all our remaining games.
I don't mind putting Eason in if Fromm struggles. However just roll with me for a second, Fromm struggles vs UT then Eason comes in and handles the game. Eason starts vs Vandy but has 4 straight 3 and outs with tons of overthrows and other bad passes. Do we then go back to Fromm? I'm worried that if we start switching QBs it will help nobody because regardless both guys are going to have rough games at some point.

I think if we do swap back to Eason at any point we should stick with him and not change back again to Fromm (the whole 2 QBs = 0 QBs) again unless Eason (please no) gets hurt again.

I'd root for ISIS over UF but I feel like if UF comes in with only 1 loss against us we'll be less likely to overlook them. They'd be ranked top 15ish and it might help keep our boys eyes on the game, vs if they're 3-2 and struggled vs LSU.

Am I the only person more worried about the next game we play in the state of Tennessee than the one this week?
