We are down two scores with 8 minutes left...

Can you imagine if Kirby didn’t frick up the Fields situation?

Coaches shouldn’t make promises they can’t keep.

I don’t like that fields left any more than anyone else but it’s obvious the communication between parties broke down and it’s in the end Kirby’s fault for taking in a kid who would be potentially an issue.

Not having many long drives the first half killed us

Kirby’s inability to develop QBs. As much as I’d love to hate on the game plan — it wasn’t awful. Our QBs simply missed throws ALL GAME.

And if Fields had stayed at Ped State, or gone somewhere else instead of UGA, everyone would have been totally cool with it, right? Or if Fields had been started and laid an egg, everyone would have been cool with that, too, right? Absolutely no one would have said "What the frick is Kirby doing benching the guy who had us one play away from a national title for a guy who hasn't done a damn thing yet!"

There's a reason that it pays to gather the *right* players for a team, rather than simply getting the best available. If there are guys who combine the two traits, so much the better, but there's no shortage of examples where talented players have been horrible fits for teams. It happened to us, and it will inevitably happen again.
