Georgia State's QB is no slouch. He started his career at Penn State. A school like Georgia State could do well for itself as a place living off of portal players who didn't exactly find a landing place.
GAST's QB is worlds better than DJU at FSU.

re: Classy move Tennessee. Up 30-0 on Kent state and kicked on on-side

And they shouldn't complain if any team, given the opportunity to do so, relentlessly curb stomps them.

Tennessee's offense isn't going to see Kent's DL and LB's across the LOS next Saturday
re: Remember when about 30+ percent of this board were positive Arch Manning was no good?

UTSA would make a lot of QB's look good. It is kind of like crowing Tennessee national champions for beating up on Kent

I'd say GT and Miami most likely end up BIG10. Just makes sense to grab two additional major TV markets. GT said no to the BIG10 at the time Maryland left. Unfortunately, Swofford was a dumbass and screwed up media rights long term.
And what is the love for UNC, NC State, and UVA about with some fans? UNC hasn't even won the ACC in football since 1980. NC State since 1979. UVA is a terribly boring place to go see a game. They are hardly major markets.
As a GT fan, I'd rather make the ACC work, but I figure we are eventually going to land in the BIG10. Major market. Lots of BIG10 transplants in metro Atlanta. When the ACC added Miami in 2004, I met several of their fans that were just stoked to be able to get to travel and spend a weekend in Atlanta.
OTOH, I may be just as full of crap as everyone else. Both the SEC and BIG10 are in a staredown right now. They may just let the rest of CFB wilt and soet through the ruins later.

UCF flex on FSU on an SEC board. Interesting take.
re: Cowbells are the most annoying noise device in the SEC. How are they allowed?

As a non SEC fan can someone explain to me why they have a cowbell tradition? Is this a story where someone's old granny brought a cowbell to a game in 1930 and Mississippi State won the game or something?

Since only Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, and Duke fans really care about college basketball. I cannot tell you which team won the MBB title last season or the season before that. Maybe Kentucky or UNC, but I don't have a clue.
I can tell you Clemson won the football title last season and Alabama the year before that

This. IMO, Gruden would kill it at Tennessee. He still has tons of juice with the young players. They all know exactly who he is. I think Gruden and his staff would wreck it on the recruiting trail.
Since when does he still have "juice" with younger players?

So his last college experience is the tight ends coach at Pacific in 1989. He has little college football experience. Hasn't shown he can recruit. Tennessee wants him because he was a graduate assistant there for one year in 1986. He was fired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - of all teams - and yet this is the guy Tennessee hangs their hat on to take them to the promised land?
He hasn't coached any college since the 1980's and was just a positional coach at most then. No one has a clue if he can be an effective head coach at the college level. If he gets the job, it will be the first head coaching job he has held in a decade.
What gives Tennessee? What about Gruden excites you? Is it the fact he will scowl and look serious at critical times? Hell, Butch Jones can do that for you. Get serious already and go hire a coach with a track record of success at the CFB level and stop thinking you are going to be magically transformed into a Super Bowl team by a washed up old NFL coach.

Funny when UGAg blows out some school their fans are barking like redneck retarts, but if they get beaten down it is poor sportsmanship by the other team. "Auburn threw the ball late" well cry me a river. I saw UGAg not give a crap if Tennessee or Missouri had the score run up on them this season. If you are gonna dose it out, you better be prepared to get it back. Tennessee will, at some point in the future, get the mutts on the ropes and kick them repeatedly. If you don't want to see it, find another hobby. Start knitting or quilt making or something. Go find a peaceful creek to sit beside on a fall day instead of watching CFB
re: Just released AD Revenues: A&M-$194M, Bama-$164M

I remember Vince Dooley once said that football pays for everything at almost every school. He said mens's basketball may add a bit, but almost the entire revenue of a school is football.
I'm sure exceptions are Kentucky, UNC, Duke and a few others.
