Five-star offensive tackle Trey Smith from Jackson, TN (University School Of Jackson) announced Tuesday that he has committed to Tennessee.

Smith is rated as the No. 1 overall player for the class of 2017 by ESPN.

The 6-foot-6, 299-pound prospect chose the Volunteers over Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Ole Miss and Notre Dame.

The Volunteers now have 24 commitments for the class of 2017 with the addition of Smith.

I wonder if Tenn. will ever truly be relevant again; they are kind of like Nebraska- teams that kids no longer really identify with...

That's an outstanding pick up for Tennessee. Thius kiud will be a 3 year starter. Tennessee must keep their homegrown talent in state. Well done Vols!
