The topic of Tennessee allegedly 'pumping in fake crowd noise' rolled on this week, with Vols head coach Josh Heupel being asked about the subject during his Wednesday press conference. Per Knox News:

Coach Josh Heupel defended Tennessee football fans against Alabama broadcaster Chris Stewart's allegation of fake crowd noise at Neyland Stadium just as Stewart doubled down on his comments.

“Neyland doesn't need anything fake or piped into the stadium to be the loudest place in America,” Heupel said at his weekly press conference on Wednesday. "Hopefully our fans take that personally, enjoy this bye week and come back and be louder than ever the next time we're at home."

Just know, pumping in crowd noise is scum. In my opinion, it is equal to using a camera to steal and relay signs.

What was the reasoning behind people thinking there was piped in crowd noise? Did the audio glitch or something?

The argument goes back to letting State use cowbells. Using artificial noise beyond those produced by fans.
