Tottenham's Eric Dier Jumped Into Stands & Tried To Fight A Fan After Yesterday's Match
© Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports
Apparently a fan was either saying something about Tottenham's Eric Dier's younger brother and/or saying something racist towards Dier's teammate on Wednesday, so he jumped in the stands to take care of it himself. Per CBS...
quote:

"This person insulted Eric. The family was there," Mourinho said. "The young brother was not happy with the situation, and then Eric, I repeat, did what we professionals cannot do, but did something that probably we would do."

There was speculation online that Dier was defending teammate Gedson Fernandes from racial abuse, but Mourinho said he did not know if that was the case.

Haha so is he defending his family or what? Seems like athletes (people in general) are always crying racism to justify actions even when no racism exists.

Soccer in Europe is vile and extremely racist. Imagine going to an LSU game (or whatever your favorite team is) and having fans yell "Grape Ape" or the "N" word to even your own WR or the opposing teams QB, etc.

So something happened, but we are not sure what. We also don't know why, but have locked down when because a video had a time stamp. Let's write an article.
