CFP committee obviously didn't put any weight on SOS or SOR last year, so no point in moving to 9 SEC games as it obviously doesn't mean anything to CFP. They only look at wins. Doesn't matter if all 12 games were verse 75th ranked recruiting classes.

8 SEC games is still much tougher than 9 Big 10 games. Big 10 5th through 18th are just scrubs.

This is not accurate anymore. It was certainly true a decade ago, even 5 years ago. The B1G has benefited disproportionately from the portal

Last year:
B1G 4th beat SEC 2nd
B1G 7th beat SEC 4th
B1G 10th beat SEC 5th and 7th
B1G 5th beat SEC 6th

The only B1G team the SEC took down last year was Missouri beating Iowa, who finished 6th in the B1G.

We should be negotiating a higher TV contract and add another conference game, it also would help remove the mess of so many teams tying for place in the conference

Lol SEC is a mid conference at best now that the playing fields have been leveled.

The top 3 teams in the 2025 recruiting rankings and 8 of the top 11 being SEC teams says you’re wrong. And for good measure, the SEC also grabbed the #1 spot and 8 of the top 15 in transfer portal rankings.
