Four-star, 6-foot-3, 242-pound running back Derrick Henry of Yulee, Fla., has verbally committed to play for Alabama next season. He's the state of Florida's second all-time leading rusher behind only Florida running back commit Kelvin Taylor (Belle Glades, Fla./Glades Day), has amassed an astounding 9,255 rushing yards in his prolific career.
quote:

"I love the program, I love the coaches," Henry said. "I love coach (Nick) Saban and the rest of the coaches and the other players. I just feel like I have a chance to be very successful at that program on the field and off the field. They have been superior at my position and superior in the SEC over the last three or four years. It's looking good at Alabama, and I'm just ready to get down there and get to work."

LOL, someone from Alabama calling Louisiana a cesspool. There isn't a bigger cesspool than the entire state of Alabama. Well Mississippi does give you a run for your money.

Flash...My point was to check out the NUMBER of RB's that have carried the ball this year but then again I see you are just another lsu fan still butthurt over the fact that Saban left your cesspool and for good reasons.

Hey plutonium I checked out the facts and Alabama has had 199 rushes for the year so for and Alabama only has three running backs that have had at least 10% of those carries with the last of those three only having 21 carries, just barely over 10%. On the other hand LSU has had 216 rushes for the year so far and has four running backs who have had at least 10% of those carries with the last of those four having had 32 carries. So the facts seem to support Gumbo's comment better than yours, but hey don't let facts get in the way of a bama fan's comments, as usual.

It's a shame but I think Henry is not liking to wait behind the stable of running backs at LSU. Too bad since he could have been a star knowing Miles plays all his running backs!
