Former UAB linebacker Jake Ganus tweeted out that he will be transferring to Georgia for his senior year:

The junior from Chelsea, Ala. led his team in tackles with 70 and finished second in all of Conference USA with 16.5 tackles-for-loss.

Ganus, like all UAB Football players that are transferring after the University shut down the program, will be eligible immediately.

Good for this young man. He can graduate from a big time SEC program and get his degree at UGA. Hope he gets playing time. I wish well for all these UAB players that got SCREWED.
