Sports Illustrated recently released their "Way-Too-Early College Football Top 25" for the 2017 season and included six teams from the SEC in the rankings.

The Alabama Crimson Tide was sitting atop the rankings.

7. Ohio State
8. Oklahoma
9. Washington
10. Michigan
11. Wisconsin
12. Oklahoma State
13. Louisville
14. Auburn
15. Georgia
16. Tennessee

19. Florida
20. West Virginia
21. Kansas State
22. Oregon
23. Miami
24. UCLA
25. South Florida

Yep, the "over-rateds" start as high as #2. Some of these team perennially get ranked solely on their brand and never amount to much. Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State...these teams have been at or near the top for a while, but USC, PSU, Oklahoma...I'm not buying it. As someone else said, at least Notre Dame isn't in their usual position, being ranked clearly because their name and nothing else.

Laughable, that's a who's who list. 25% of those teams won't finish in the top 25
