Former Alabama running back Trent Richardson was released by the Oakland Raiders on Monday. Per NBC Sports:
quote:

Richardson had a disappointing rookie season with the Browns after going third overall, and was then traded to the Colts for a first-round pick. A complete disaster in Indianapolis, Richardson was cut this offseason. The Raiders picked him up, but he did not impress in the preseason.
During ESPN First Take Tuesday, former NFL Pro-Bowler Ryan Clark said that Richardson "is the worst running back of all time, all time."

Cut Trent some slack. If he was allowed to do steroids in the NFL like he did in college, he would have played better.

When as a professional athlete you can't even find success on one of the worst teams in the NFL... probably time to hang up the cleats and call it a career.
