ESPN writer David Ching ranked the SEC running backs in his preseason position rankings article Tuesday and the Georgia rushing group led by Nick Chubb landed at No. 1 on the list.
quote:

1. Georgia: Is there any real debate here? Nick Chubb ranks among the nation’s best tailbacks, and he has plenty of talent supporting him in the Bulldogs’ backfield. Sony Michel was actually rated higher than Chubb when they signed with Georgia last year, and Keith Marshall is a former five-star recruit himself. Georgia is legitimately five players deep at tailback, which places the Bulldogs among the deepest, most potent backfields in the country.

AU has three legit RB threats in Thomas, Robinson and Barber. Should be close to the top with Chubb being the best RB in the conference. Buga has potential but has not delivered yet despite having won the 2014 preseason Heisman last year.

Um, last time I checked preseason picks were strictly based on potential. Its preseason! Pre.... Prefix for before. FYI.

["Buga has potential but has not delivered yet despite having won the 2014 preseason Heisman last year"] He only set the LSU freshman rushing record, despite having less than half the carries of LSU's other 3 backs.
