Oklahoma President Wants One Rivalry To Survive SEC Move
© Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports
Oklahoma president Joe Harroz says he wants to see one game remain on their schedule once SEC move is complete...
quote:

“We want the Bedlam rivalry to continue well past the expiration of this media rights agreement,” Harroz said in a press conference. “Make no mistake. We want the Bedlam rivalry to continue. Make no mistake.

“Even with this change, we want to play Oklahoma State in every sport in every year.”

What exactly are people pissed off about? If you all think we're dropping Louisville from our sports schedule, y'all are nuts. There's a thing called rivalry week for a reason. Who the frick cares if one of their out of conference opponents is OSU?

Don't ask to come and then dictate the rules. Your getting paid and you will do what Alabama SEC office tells you to do.

I'm sure all of that was discussed already. It's no different than LSU playing UCLA and etc.

Not sure what everyone is bitching about. This would be a non-conference game for them, and I'm pretty sure that each school schedules their non-conference games. What am I missing?

What you're missing is he said "every sport" not just a football game. This is a statement to placate some pissed off political hacks in Oklahoma.

We are heading towards 3 16 team super conferences. It will be conference play then playoffs for each sport. No more G5 vs P5 type games. OSU

The schools make their non-conference schedule in every sport. Of course this is about keeping the peace in Oklahoma, but it doesn't have any impact on the SEC schedule, whatsoever. I don't think OU's President was even addressing the SEC with his comments. The "outrage" on the Rant is rather silly...

Not how it works in the SEC. You're now Birmingham's bitch.

No one cares what OU wants

OU wants to keep fricking their ex while enjoying their new relationship with someone much hotter. I can respect that.

This is like LSU telling the SEC to keep Tulane on their schedule. OU does not want to lose the almost guaranteed win.

The most lopsided rivalry in CFB. If I'm Okie State and can manage without the Bedlam game, I tell OU to stick it you no where.

Money matters more than the W/L.

That's grand...play a school that will suffer in recruiting being out of a major conference. How thoughtful.

Chicken, this post doesn't make any sense. The rivalry is already pretty lopsided, can't get that much worse. Also, please tell Larry to start proofreading his stories. "SEC movie" lol

Money fuels college football more than ever and the TV contract is a huge question for the Cowboys atm. They have every reason to play OU every year.

Castorinhi. LOL. Larry's typing is like the piano playing chicken at the Mexican roadside petting zoo. A few keys are off, now and then, as he pecks away.
