Three star defensive tackle T.D. Moton from Shreveport, LA (Woodlawn) announced Thursday that he has decommitted from Alabama. The news comes on the same day that Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen visited with Moton. Per AL.com

Moton, a 3-star recruit, had been committed to Alabama since last June. 247Sports reported that the parting of ways was due to academic concerns.

Mississippi State could be one landing spot for Moton. He officially visited there last weekend. Texas A&M is another possibility as well as LSU.

Earlier Thursday, Moton received a visit from Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen and assistant John Hevesy.
