Offensive lineman Montel McBride who signed with Alabama in February, will head to Junior College after failing to academically qualify and enroll at UA. Per AL.com:

The 6-foot-4, 329-pound McBride, a Plant City, Fla., native, has been sent a national letter of intent from Iowa Western Community College after he verbally committed to the school on Monday night, a source confirmed to AL.com. The letter has not yet been returned from McBride to Iowa Western but is expected to be soon.

McBride committed to Alabama last summer, but was one of three signees who did not enroll at the start of summer school. Since then, defensive lineman Johnny Dwight did qualify, but running back Bo Scarbrough from Northport has not enrolled yet.
Iowa Western where McBride is transferring to is one of the top junior college programs in the country.

"This means that LSU has the best class."

No. Still Bama. Even if Bo Scarbrough doesn't qualify, Bama would still have the best class per 247 calculator. Alabama's class calculator without both Scarbrough and McBride is at 313.99. LSU finished at 298.8.
