Paul Finebaum Reacts To SEC’s Disappointing NCAA Tournament
© Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
While speaking on WJOX’s “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning,” ESPN’s Paul Finebaum shared his reaction to the SEC's disappointing run in this year's NCAA tournament...
quote:

“The criticism is coming from the ACC,” Finebaum said. “The reason is that most people, if not everyone, thought that the ACC had been passed … a lot of people are jumping on comments like that and hey, that’s fine. It was not a good year in the ACC, but when you have a big postseason it wipes away whatever you didn’t accomplish.”

The ACC is just the king of CBB. Its been that way for years. People do the same with SEC football every year and then you have two SEC teams playing for the title. The ACC will be the dominant conference again next year and the next.

An expanded football playoff will also have upsets. As this year, the Final Four in basketball tends to be blue bloods, but when we expand the playoffs, a Cincinnati may upset a Michigan. And no, for us Bama fans, last year's SEC and SEC tournament championships meant a lot. Fluky games in a tournament do not and should not define a season.
