I'm just a college kid, so I'm not that old. I could be wrong, but when (or has) any Vanderbilt head coach ever received this much attention for other jobs? I know Gerry DiNardo went to LSU, but he never was heralded as someone who could win a national championship at a "bigger program" that I remember. So am I just too young to remember or have been alive for it or is this a first for Vandy?

You'd have to go all the way back to Steve Sloan to find this kind of interest, if then.

I don't think even Sloan was talked about nationally at this level of attention. I always find it funny that Texas Tech hired away the coach that beat them in the bowl game.

And it seems like he wants to stay at Vandy. He can seriously build that place into a Stanford in the South.
