Vandy now ranked #25, but a tough stretch of conference play coming up. Three of the next five are against ranked teams (SC, UT, and AU).

Wow, they killed UGA on Sunday on the strength of a huge day from Haley Hopkins (2 goals and an assist). Hope that's a sign of good things to come for the Men's feetsball team next weekend!

Curious to see how the next poll will have them ranked. The Oct 2 poll had VU at #19, but they've knocked off #9 UT and #25 MSU since then!

And they knock off Auburn 3-0. In 16 games this season, this team has only given up 8 goals!

Haley Hopkins has been named SEC Freshman of the Week for the 2nd time this season, to go along with the Offensive Player of the Week honors she won earlier in the season. Hopkins has a team-high 12 goals to go along with 6 assists (also a team high).

Hopkins is also among the league leaders in points (30), tied for second in goals (12) and tied for fourth in game-winning goals (4). For SEC games only, the redshirt freshman is currently first in points (17), tied for first in goals (7), and tied for second in points per game (1.89) and goals per game (0.78).

In awards announced on Sunday, soccer coach Darren Ambrose was named the SEC Coach of the Year, while Haley Hopkins and Grace Jackson were named first team All-SEC. Nia Dorsey was named to the second team, and Ella Shamburger was named to the All-Freshman team. Hopkin was also named the SEC Freshman of the Year.

Our first game of the SEC tournament is tonight against Florida. Kickoff is scheduled for 5PM CT on SECN. Earlier games going to OT and such could push it back a bit.
