Does anyone know the severity of his ACL injury?
As we all saw with Gurley, if it's a simple tear then a guy can come back 100% and come back relatively quick.
However, as we saw with Chubb, if the tear is severe, there's always going to be a missing gear. That's not to say Chubb wasn't incredible but I think there was a noticeable difference with him after the injury.

He's already going through non-contact drills and it's March.
I'll be shocked if he isn't ready to go by Game 1.
As to the "will he ever get back" question, we may never know the answer because we don't know what he would've looked like against college competition before the injury. If he's a bust, it will make for a convenient explanation, but we'll never know.
I think he's going to be fine, personally.

Apparently he didn't even know he'd torn the ACL until his knee swelled up the next day. I'd assume that will help with getting over the mental hurdle more quickly than if he had suffered the injury in some horrific way.

How is surgery different with a clean tear and partial tear?
I had the old surgery for a clean tear. The worst part of my heal time was my tendon (they spliced the tendon to replace the ligament. The ligament healed somewhat quickly. The tendon took months).

He will be back for the season. Biggest thing for him will be lack of prep work running blocking schemes

Silver ions and stem cell therapy work wonders. Most doctors can’t do this because of fda, but select research facilities sanctioned to do such things can do stuff.
Eta- UGA is one of three universities in the country that can do stuff.

Essentially no difference. ACLs are not "repaired", they are "reconstructed". Regardless of full or partial tear, the damaged ligament is cleaned up and removed from the knee. A graft is constructed from the patient's own tissue or a cadaver and fixed in place of the old ligament.
What does make a difference in injury severity and recovery time is collateral damage to surrounding structures. By all accounts, it appears that Zamir's injury was an isolated ACL tear without damage to the meniscii or surrounding ligaments. This will shorten his rehab by a small degree.
For clarification, Nick Chubb actually didn't tear his ACL at all. He tore his PCL, which is a significantly more rare injury, and involves a longer rehab by comparison. Furthermore, he tore his LCL and MCL, sustained damage to his Meniscus, as well as his PLC (posterior lateral corner). In my opinion, the two don't compare in any real way.
Better analogies for Zamir's injury would be Todd Gurley or Adrian Peterson. Hopefully he ends up being just as good a RB as those two.

I've had friends in the Carolinas tell me Zeus is a better prospect than Gurley, Marshall and Lattimore coming out and that really says something. IF healthy and 100% I think he will go down as one of the best RB's in program history.

No need to rush him back for game 1. Let him him rehab as long as possible.id shoot for the halfway mark of the season

Agreed, Holyfield started to flash last season when given the opportunity. With Swift and Elijah UGA's running game looks to be in great hands, Cook needs to get stronger but it would not surprise me if he had a similar impact as Swift did last season. When Zeus returns it will frankly be unfair to the opposition.
