As far as the shove/video, I think Saban and Bama consulted long and hard with the whatever legal team assist Bama football and came to this decision. Just speculation but I don't think they paid off the young lady. She probably didn't want a whole lot of media attention when it came down to it. I think overall they decided any punishment would be an admission of guilt opening a whole new can of works. At this point it seemed they are facing some minor backlash so seems like their strategy worked.

It’s been 15 years and I’m still pissed over that. I remember watching West Virginia lose thinking we had a legit shot of being number 1. Then Kirk went and opened his big fat mouth. Probably still bitter over the 92 Citrus Bowl.

Dallas, Beefdog and deeprig9 don’t appear to be handling their mid life criseses very well. Having crossed over yourself, do you have any wisdom or advice to share with these tormented souls?

It sucks. It's unfair that you spend the first half of your life trying to build something and the second half of your life regretting the choices you made to build something that doesn't bring you any joy. I've seen too many clients work their asses off to retire and get sick with some God awful disease like Parkinsons. Try to spend more time with your family and accept your' on the downward slope of life.

All while being stuck in bed for months with nothing to do but read/watch podcasts about world events (ie, a bioweaponized plandemic exploited for political and globalist gains), put a bit of a damper on my outlook on things.
I thank God for last year’s Dawgs and Braves. Was a great escape for a while. But reality is still going on and only fools, brainwashed cucks, and total fricking dipshits don’t see it or don’t care.
We had long threads here debating all aspects of covid, vaccines, masks, hospitals, efficacy, morbidity, right vs left, show trials, who’s right, who’s wrong, and the government’s hand in it all.
And as usual, what we know now is that it’s ALL based on the powerful securing more power and wealth at our expense, and the morons here who shite on anyone who didn’t follow the narrative are likely still oblivious retards still with the power to vote for more idiocy that will frick us all even further.
A midlife crisis is more about a guy second-guessing his choices and effort. That’s not my problem. My choices have been solid. My effort at life has been at maximum for much longer than not.
Fact is, it’s truly frickin bleak out there right now.
That all said, I’m as close with my family as we’ve ever been. Vacations galore. Spending great quality time together. Having awesome life discussions. Got to know my parents and siblings again. Bonds are re-strengthened with relatives and friends. Generosity and philanthropy are through the roof. Frugalness is an afterthought. Selfishness is at an all time low.
I’m living for today because tomorrow is no longer a sure thing.

Y'all have to realize taht maaaaaaybe like 5% of what these talking heads say is somethign they actually believe and is actually their own thought. These are entertainers that ESPN tells what to say to get the masses riled up, and it obviously works. I remember in 2018 the final playoffs were announced and it was 100% as it should have been with no surprises, it was truly cut and dry with no other possible options even viable. But I distinctly remember Kirk going on some wrap up show pleading to all who would hear about how UGA might have gotten screwed and we deserved a shot. Nevermind the fact that we got kiilled by LSU and lost to bama, and ended up as a 2-loss non-champion. His entire argument essentially boiled down to "they played #1 bama really super close". He didn't ACTUALLY think we should've made the playoffs, and it reminded me of a hostage video where his handlers are force feeding him a narrative off camera to regurgitate.
When I watch these shows now and realize that these talking head opinions are about as real as a wrestling storyline it makes it a lot easier to just chuckle and move on.

Why does it have to be a “downward slope” though? Im going to approach it like golf when i get there. You hit the halfway house, grab a hotdog and a couple Miller Lites, then you go out and play the back nine. Maybe you were a few shots over par on the front, maybe a few shots under, but but par is 36 on the back just like on the front, and there’s plenty of birdie opportunities waiting. Lets go, baby!

While not nearly as hard core as Beefdawg's ailments, they do start stacking up in middle age. And it's not necessarily from poor diet or lack of activity (although those are definitely contributors), it's just age and genetics. I could go on a health kick and start rigorous workouts and get my body back into high school shape, but I'd still be taking several medications a day for other conditions. Also, metabolism slows down. Pre-40, I could drop five pounds in a week just by trading mcsnoot for mich ultra. Now the only way I can drop 5 pounds in a week is if my diverticulitis flares up and I have to go on antibiotics that make me feel like I'm on chemo. Lower energy overall. Sprain a toe while reaching for something on the top shelf. Can't sit down or stand up without grunting. As you climb the corporate ladder in middle age, the stress increases. Knowing your family depends on you so you can't say frick it. All these things make middle age a drag. If I could retire early through some windfall, that sure would help. Not being directly connected to a computer all day would do me wonders- plus no work stress or pressure.

Jeff my mid life crisis was in '94-'95...
Took me over 30 years of GSEF, GEEF and Hartman contributions plus tix cost, plus parking, plus 100mi each way travel, plus 16+hr days, plus tailgating costs to keep up with the Jones' I tailgated with to finally decide frick it, my TV ain't so bad...
Finally decided I'd done my time, time to let the younguns' get fleeced.
JMO but going to UGA games went from an awesome way to spend a Saturday and party with Alumni friends to a money grabbing ordeal.

Wait, how do guys get bunions? I've got one from wearing heels every day for over a decade but I'm curious how a dude would get bunions.

I agree that it's all become far too corporate and way, WAY too much of the sport only revovles around money, which sucks. Still though, I dont' care if it's 4K, 10K, howevermany-K resolution TVs they can invent in the future...there's simply no way to replace the feeling/sights/sounds of being there in the stadium and seeing the action up close in person. Can't beat it. I think as I get older and older I'll go less and less, but I can't fathom teh day that I'm content to only watch the games on TV exclusively.

Gender is a social construct, bigot. Not only can men menstrate, and get pregnant, they can sprout bunions too.

Yeah, I wrote that poorly
It looked like I was listing three people undergoing crisis… “Dallas, beef dawg, and deeprig9 blah blah blah”. But I meant as “Hey Dallas, both beef dawg and deeprig9 are blah blah blah”
Another theory of why people are suffering so much malaise is the days are getting shorter. It doesn’t even get light until almost 8am right now. I’m not gonna sprout bunions over it, but it does bum me out a little

Maybe when whining, men should think about what women have waiting for them on the back 9. All the same old age issues with the addition of a womb collapse and shutdown. That’s probably no walk in the park
