Point is, A smart qb throws the ball away there and he chose to take a 1 yard loss for no rhyme or reason.

That's like saying when another car hit yours it's not your fault. Well, sometimes it is your fault for putting yourself into a vulnerable position.

Sure, but that doesn't make it his fault that he was injured on the play.

He should have thrown it away because it would have saved us a yard. He isn't responsible for their players being out of control.
This. Ultimately it was a bad decision because he gave up a yard instead of throwing it away. The late hit was on the guy that hit him, not on Eason, though I doubt he would have been hit had he thrown it away.

Exactly. Eason got hurt because he panicked and played stupid.

He didn't though, at least within the rules of the game. He got to the out of bounds line uninjured.

He made a stupid play, but he would have been totally fine had App State's player not made a late hit.

It's his fault he was in that position and no one else's. It was a risky decision because Late shots happen often out of bounds. He has to share a certain amount of responsibility for what happened.

You can't expect everyone to play by the rules of the game just like you can't expect everyone to drive perfectly. Eason made himself vulnerable. When an opposing player has a chance to injure a starter he might take that chance even if there is a penalty involved. Luckily for us, we got a better QB.

And Fromm did the same thing vs Notre Dame when he fumbled it away in the first. He could have easily got demolished and hurt on that dumb play trying to pick it up instead of falling on it.

Make a change now and you impact thatchemistry. Kirby won't let that happen. Fromm's the starter.

So, Lets say Eason get back 100% and Kirby decides to go back Eason and he does very well. Does this mean that half of the posters on this board are going to hate Kirby for that decision? Just wondering bc 90% of posters are pretty sure Fromm stays the starter.

That was a botched handoff after one week practicing with the ones. Hardly similar to Eason's mistake.

I disagree that that was an assumed risk of that decision. I guess we're just going to have to disagree on that.

Correct, yet we're talking about Fromm making his first start vs. Eason after a full season under his belt.

The chances of a late hit out of bounds goes to zero if he doesn't run out of bounds. Disagree with that?

Kirby isn't going back unless Fromm plays terrible. If Fromm plays terrible trying Eason might be the right call.

Actually yes. He could have flipped that ball out of bounds right before he stepped out and still been hit by that dude.

If we improve on QB performance then of course not. Meaning we get better than where we are to date to warrant making the change. I bet I speak for most people in here when I say we just want to win games...the more impressive the better.

All the "home town boy" and "what about Fields" and "NFL arm talent potential" stuff is just bullshite drama. That's for chicks.

But Eason didn't expect the hit. It could have been anticipated.
