'm thinking it'll be closer than I'd prefer until about midway through the 3rd.

This sounds weird, but I'd prefer for it to be closer until about then. Sure, I'd be excited to see us just jump out on them and never let up, but the atmosphere of a close game in the 3rd... Chills.

It'll be like the 2014 Clemson game. Back and forth in the 1st half, and then we just slaughter them in the 2nd half. The crowd will be absolutely nuts the whole game.

The older alumni/fans were definitely the most friendly I've ever encountered, but the ND students were another animal. They were some pretentious douchelords.

Not in my experience. We tailgated with quite a few of them for a while in front of the stadium and tehy couldn't have been nicer.

Usually when I’m optimistic, we get beat. When I’m dour, we do ok. So I choose to think we are at risk

This isn't the same as the GA teams most of us grew up watching. They've earned the confidence.

Mind I didn't say arrogance. This team is legitimately better than ND. They come motivated and should roll.

You're implying that Tech is a good football team?

No, I’m implying that ND’s a good football team. I’m saying “ask Tech if anything can happen in football”. I’d say The Citadel is “anything”.

I’m very confident and that scares me. In fact it’s a strange feeling going into a big game.
