If we get healthier on D, we will have the best D in the country…

and it looks like we’ll need it if we want to compete for a championship. Our OL/TEs look weak.

Ayyyeee look it’s the dumbass who called me out on the scoreboard as a “bobo” hater because I said he was calling a shite game.

I wonder what you think of the majority of the posters in here that think likewise.

Are we all just bobo haters?

I'm not here to carry water for Steelerbravesdawg, however....

Todd Monken scored 14 points at Kentucky in 2020.

Todd Monken scored 16 points at Kentucky in 2022.

Let that marinate.

They are simple, emotional people who don’t understand football. At least Gurley Girl is a girl and that type of behavior is expected. The rest likely just suck cock, which is ok because God made them that way.

They are simple people. They are farmers. They farm the land.

I guess my counter argument to that is.
Monken led us to a couple of national championships.

Bobo has led us to quite a few embarrassing losses to Alabama.

For what is worth I’m just commenting on his ability to classify someone as a “hater” by just simply pointing out that the game was called extremely poorly.

And over bobos history of OC for us, there are quite a few examples of poorly called games.

Who would you replace Bobo with after you fired him?

I don’t necessarily want him fired.
I just think it’s ridiculous for people to defend him.

Including the Richt years we have a pretty big sample size for offenses that underperform. And by underperforming I’m not talking about end of the year offensive numbers, I’m talking about individual games in which our offense laid an egg.

I didn’t really have a problem with the play calling last year, I thought we went too vanilla at times, but that was it.

What I saw during the Kentucky game has me seriously concerned though.

You really can't be this dumb. What were the scores/stats during the last 4 trips to KY? There is a reason KY's defense is #8...and before you cry and say SC did better against them, SC had even less yards than we did.

However, you fail to talk about lack of blocking/the chink in beck's armor (he can't handle pressure at all), etc etc etc. Did you cry when Monken's team laid eggs?

I haven’t ignored anything in regards to offensive blocking.

What I did see however, was our piss poor blocking and us running an inside zone with or piss poor blocking over and over and over and over.

THATS what all of us “Bobo” haters try to tell you guys about him. When we play against a team that we can’t just “out talent and wear down” he doesn’t call plays to spread someone out and attack a defense. We see offense coordinators EVERYWHERE spread people out and attack the sidelines when they don’t have the talent that UGA has. We don’t do that. Monken did.

08 Florida- egg
08 Bama- egg

Two teams loaded with NFL talent.

09 Florida- egg

The 2010 season.

2011- Boise state
2011- South Carolina
2012- South Carolina
2013- Vandy
2013- Missouri
2013- Nebraska
2014- Florida
2014- Georgia tech

These are all games in which our offense shite the bed. The problem I have with Bobo Supporters, is you guys just want to ignore the fact that this guy isn’t in his 2nd season as offensive coordinator at UGA.

It’s the same problem I had with Richt Fans- “he wins 10 games a season” no he wins the games he’s suppose to win and every game against a top team he loses. It’s the EXACT same with bobo.

I’m not saying the man deserves to be fired after one poor game at Kentucky, but if any of you think that the play calling in the Kentucky game was in any was elite, or for a better word up to the standard that we are use to seeing…. well I have a beach house out in Arkansas I’ll sell ya.

I agree with your assessment.
One of the signs of a good coach is adjusting to strengths of the players you have to work with each season.
Our OL was obviously a weakness in the Kentucky game so I would like to have seen more plays with Beck rolling out to the right side with multiple short, medium and deep outlets.
But objectively whether it's inside or outside blocking, we obviously need better blocking to have a successful offense against teams with strong defenses.

When you roll out, you take a away 1/3 to 1/2 of the field to throw to and your throws are less accurate if you can’t get your feet set. Not saying we should not run that occasionally, but 15’s strength is to see and throw the entire field on a progression.

If you listen to Smart talk, he wants to establish the run game because he knows the compounding affects of being able to do that does. Do you understand what those are and that maybe this is Smart, correctly, dictating play mix strategy and philosophy?

All that list shows is he has been calling plays for a long time.... Even the great ones in the nfl have a bad game or two every season. Brady and both Mannings had plenty of bad games.

There are other ways to run the ball than an inside zone. Especially when said inside zone has gotten blown up at or behind the line of scrimmage for the 7th straight time.

Where were the jet sweeps? Where were the tosses? Correct me if I’m wrong we ran one toss all game, turned out to be pretty good.

What about off tackle runs? I remember us running one off tackle run the entire game, that also turned into a pretty positive run.

It’s like Bobo was determined to run inside zone against a stacked box all game long, and when he didn’t want to do that it was screens/ short ins.

We connected on one sail route. And one go route in the Kentucky game, both were positive yardage.

Look I’m not an OC by any stretch of the means, I’m also not involved at the practices. All I see is what I see on GameDay. But I’ve seen this story so many times before. So has any Georgia fan that’s been around before 2015. We will put up 600 yards of offense on vandy/Tennessee tech/ uAB/ Georgia tech to achieve another “top 5” offense for Mike Bobo just as we have always done.

The question remains is will our offense be competitive enough against the likes of Bama and Texas. History has shown us that we should be worried about that.
